Genuine Kingman Turquoise Heart Pendant – Handmade Sterling Silver - Ben Davis

We love a good piece of turquoise, and this one had just the right shape for a heart. Ben cut it into a long, slightly uneven heart and kept as much of that bright blue color and natural brown matrix as he could. There’s some especially good webbing across the top of the stone.

Turquoise forms when mineral-rich groundwater moves through fractures in rock, bringing together copper, aluminum, and phosphorus. The copper helps give turquoise its blue color, while those brown lines running through this piece come from the surrounding host rock.

Ben cut and polished the cabochon and then set it by hand in .925 sterling silver.
