Artisan Ed Lohman
Ed Lohman has been designing jewelry since 1976, which means he's been doing this longer than some of us have been collecting rocks, and that's saying something. Ed is known for ridiculously detailed inlay work: tiny pieces of turquoise, opal, sugilite, shell, and other natural materials cut and fitted together into sterling silver. HIs inlay work is insane. His work has roots in the American Southwest, and he trained with artists in Albuquerque and Durango beginning in the late 1960s. Today, his designs are produced with a highly skilled team of jewelers and lapidaries in Cebu, trained in the methods Ed developed over decades. Ed has his own cabochons; however, when we started working with him, Ben would send Ed his finished cabochons, and Ed would make them look good. It's been a very successful arrangement. We have purchased some of "Ed only" designs over the years, and that will be in the description. One-of-a-kind stones. An unreasonable amount of tiny inlay. About 50 years of knowing what he's doing.
