Fordite Pendant Lightweight

This very lightweight Fordite pendant from the GM Motor Company in the 60's and 70's! It features layered bands of cured automotive paint built up over time in industrial spray booths. Often referred to as “Detroit agate,” Fordite is not a mineral but a man-made material formed when repeated layers of paint hardened and were later cut and polished.
