First Ever Blog Post
Hi! You clicked on our first ever blog post! With 3 minutes TikTok videos and 30 second Instagram reels, I wasn't sure if anyone would! Thank you! (that was a lot of exclamations, take it down a notch, Tonia). First things first, let me introduce myself. My name is Tonia, and my husband is Ben Davis of BenDavisDesigns. Ben likes rocks. A lot. I mean, more than even ordinary people who collect rocks. One of our first dates was him taking me up a mountain to find feldspar. We know it's a little weird. He loves the history behind them, the colors that can happen with time and seismic events, the folds, and faults, and I don't even know. He's a geologist, an adventurist, a traveler, and a history buff, so the inner working of the earth just makes sense to him. Me? I like jewelry and pretty things and tagging along on his adventures. Eventually, Ben had so many cabochons and daughters (five daughters straight in a row and one son at the end) that he learned to put the cabochons into beautiful, custom, high quality jewelry. Only so much we can wear, though, and thus, BenDavisDesigns was born.
Because we are a family business with zero employees and six kids, I might just use these blog posts as a place to share our adventures and thoughts. It gets a bit wild around here, and I love writing, so this will be the place we share our stories, like the time I was on the airplane with the creeper and the incredibly expressive red-head. Or, the time we got stuck on a mountain with toddlers and daughter with a cactus needle stuck in a significant vein. The hospital we took her to tested her for heroin. Sigh. Always an adventure, consistently a good time - Lol. Stay tuned!
